  24. About 768 or 752 pixels is fine enough for EVERY PAL picture, so you might 
  25. define
  26. it that way (752x576; vertical/hor blanks not included).

  40. S-VHS uses twice the number of vertical lines (400, instead of 200! for 
  41. standard VHS).
  42. Beside that, it seperates the luminance and chroma signals, making for better
  43. picture clarity/sharpness (composite video has interfering color and 
  44. luminance
  45. signals sometimes; just watch a VHS).
