TransWarp PlusPak is a desktop enhancer for OS/2 Warp 4.0. At the moment, it includes mini-schemes to enhance the desktop. Currently, the mini-schemes only set the desktop background and change the icons for the objects installed on the desktop after the Merlin installation has completed (except for the "Get Netscape Navigator" icon). Over twenty schemes are included in this beta, version .56. These schemes look best with 256 colors or more.
Minimum Requirements:
OS/2 Warp 4
8 MB RAM
3 MB Disk Space
Both REXX and Multimedia must be installed
800x600 resolution; 256 colors
Recommended Requirements:
OS/2 Warp 4
12 MB RAM
3 MB Disk Space
Both REXX and Multimedia must be installed
1024x768 resolution; 256 colors or more

WARNING! Make an archive of your desktop BEFORE using this program!!!!!! The only way to return to your current desktop scheme is to restore this archive. TransWarp PlusPak can only return you to the default OS/2 Warp 4 desktop, NOT to your current and customized desktop.
To make an archive, right click on the desktop, select properties, click on the archive tab, and put a check in the archive check box, then shut down and restart the computer. When your desktop reappears, remove the check from the archive checkbox. You may then proceed to use TransWarp PlusPak. HAVE FUN!!!!

Future enhancements may include sets of pointers, random background graphics, etc. Changing the sound schemes are probably beyond my capabilities (and possibly beyond the capabilities of REXX?).
My plans are to keep TransWarp PlusPak simple. It is a fast and free way of changing desktop themes. I would appreciate any suggestions. For those who want something more powerful, I suggest you check out Stardock's up and coming Plus Pak. Visit http://www.stardock.com for more information. I know I'm looking forward to Stardock's Plus Pak release!
Please send suggestions to Michael Neice of KrazyDog Software, neice@nando.net
Enjoy!
