BACKDROP
This program is designed to change the bitmap displayed on your OS/2
desktop randomly, at intervals you specify. The application comes in two
parts:
BACKSET.EXE is a PM program which presents a Workplace Shell notebook that
allows you to establish:
* The list of bitmaps between which you would like to switch
* How often the bitmap should be changed
BACKDROP.CMD is a character-based program which reads the settings
established by BACKSET and randomly selects a different bitmap from those
selected if the specified length of time has elapsed since the last
change. You should add a line to STARTUP.CMD in your root directory which
calls BACKDROP.CMD from the path in which you install it. (If you don't
have a STARTUP.CMD in your boot drive's root directory, create one with
the call to BACKDROP in it.) If I get energetic some day, I may add an
installation program to create a WPS object for this program and
automatically add it to the Startup folder.
Note that you must run the BACKSET program to setup the randomization
parameters before you run BACKDROP the first time.
I'll make all fixes needed, but I can't promise any enhancements. (That's
why it's free! <smile>)
