  17.    1. ABOUT INFOTRAY

  20.    This is the Version 1.x of the multi purpose info monitor InfoTray.  
  21.  
  22.    InfoTray is a system monitoring utility that allows you to show data 
  23.    from different sources (your system, other programs, log files, Internet) 
  24.    in a compact way on your Windows desktop.  It allows you to organize 
  25.    the information in different categories and to update the values 
  26.    periodically, at certain times or depending on the other InfoTray data 
  27.    items.  InfoTray is also able to monitor the data items in the tray 
  28.    and trigger alerts (play a sound, start a program, show a message box, 
  29.    logging, show an alert window, etc.) depending on the value of the 
  30.    data item.

  32.    The program automatically switches between English and German 
  33.    language, depending on your system's settings (under Windows 95
  34.    this is the same language as Windows, under Windows NT it is the
  35.    Regional setting in the Control Panel).

  37.    The program can be tested for 30 days.  During that time you have
  38.    to press an OK button every hour.  After that time it must be either
  39.    purchased or deleted.  Order and purchase informations can be found
  40.    in the help menu and in the separate order application.

  45.    2. DISTRIBUTION, COPYRIGHT

  48.    InfoTray is (C) 1999 by EmTec, Markus Schmidt

  50.    This is a license summary -- see the license information in the 
  51.    setup program for details.

  53.    You may use and test the program for 30 days in evaluation mode. 
  54.    Then you have to order a license code or remove it from your system.

  56.    No warranty of any kind can be given for damage caused through InfoTray
  57.    directly or indirectly or any other way.

  59.    The evaluation version of InfoTray may be distributed freely via tele-
  60.    communication, shareware dealers or as a free add on for hard- or 
  61.    software products in form of an unmodified ZIP archive, or as 
  62.    unzipped files in an single directory with the name beginning with
  63.    "InfoTray" and with no file added, removed or modified.

  65.    The following restrictions apply to distribution.

  67.     * InfoTray must not be used in an army environment or for purposes 
  68.       that are related to the military or to arms production.

  70.     * InfoTray may be included into shareware CDs if the ZIP file is
  71.       left intact or if all files from the ZIP file are provided
  72.       in a single directory the name of which begins with InfoTray. 
  73.       Two copies of the CD must be sent to EmTec, Markus Schmidt
  74.       (address below).

  76.     * An evaluation copy of InfoTray must not be sold for more than 
  77.       $5/DM 7 (that includes shipping). If you purchased InfoTray from a 
  78.       dealer paying more (or get knowledge of such a dealer), please
  79.       notify him of this regulation.

  84.    3. INSTALLATION

  87.    To install InfoTray just type SETUP at a command prompt. The windowed
  88.    install program will handle the rest.

  90.    If you encounter problems of any kind, please try to install InfoTray 
  91.    into a fresh directory.

  93.    Note: InfoTray should not be installed over an existing beta version 
  94.    of InfoTray.

  116.    help topics from the Help menu of InfoTray or view the help file directly
