Welcome to ViewFITS 0.4ß!
ViewFITS is a FITS image viewer for OS/2 Presentation Manager V2.1 GA. It
contains an inline help facility, so I won't go into details here.
Here is the list of the included files:
VIEWFITS.EXE (the executable)
VIEWFITS.HLP (the help file; should be in the same directory)
*.RGB (a set of RGB palette; can be in any directory)
MOON.FTS (an image of the Moon given with SBIG-ST4 demo and
transformed into FITS)
Since the last update, new features have been added:
- Now four buffers are available; they can be switched from one to another or
they can be blinked. They have their own properties.
- New tools have been added such palette controller with the mouse, direct
reading of pixel value with cursor and redirection to a file.
- Inline help.
Their is still a bug and I don't know where it comes from: and exception
occurs when the program is closed.
You may have trouble to load large images; it is a problem of memory and/or
swap space.
The program may refuse to iconize once an image has been loaded; still a
problem of memory.
You MUST use a graphic mode with at least 256 colours.
I strongly encourage you to try and use ViewFITS and report to me any bugs
or comments.
Thank you for using ViewFITS!
