This file explains the contents of this package. All files in this

they are copied to another disk(ette) and unpacked.
To make use of these files :
1. Copy file to disk drive/directory with capacity to hold both
the packed and unpacked file.
2. Make the target drive from #1 the current drive/directory.
3. "filename" [enter] - will unpack the file and place the
the resulting unpacked file in the current drive/directory.
Database Performance Demo
This package contains the DBM performance demo presented at the OS/2
Technical Seminars. All of the demo files are packed into 2 files. One
file is contains all the files necessary to build the demo database (DEMODB.EXE)
and the other contains the source and documentation files associated with
the demo (DEMOFLS.EXE). You should copy each of these files to a separate
disk/directory before unpacking. In order to learn how to build the database
and setup the demo, first unpack the files in "DEMOFLS.EXE" and read the
documentation file "DBDEMO.DOC". If you do not follow the steps outlined
in that document very carefully the demo will not be usable.
This demo is not intended to show the performance of DBM as compared to other
products. It can be used to demonstrate the techniques that can be used
by the developer and/or DBA to get the best performance out of OS/2 EE DBM.
