  1. Welcome to X10 Comm Tester for OS/2 Warp.
  2.  
  3. X10 Comm Tester is an OS/2 Warp 3.0 and later Presentation
  4. Manager program. It was written to help troubleshoot communications
  5. problems with the X10 interface models CM11x/CM12x and
  6. HOUSE/2 the Home Automation & Security program for OS/2.
  7.  
  8. X10 Comm Tester also work for the CP290 controller and performs
  9. diagnostics, reads the clock and tests rocker switch response.
  10.  
  11. X10 Comm Tester is freeware and may be distributed as long as
  12. all files are kept together.
  13.  
  14. Installation.
  15.  
  16. REXX or Object REXX must be installed on your system
  17. for this program to work. REXX is installed by default,
  18. but if you did not install it then run Warp installation
  19. again and selectively install REXX support.
  20.  
  21. Unzip all files into a separate directory, I suggest the name
  22. HOUSE2. If you have the HOUSE/2 program, copy all files into
  23. that HOUSE/2 directory.
  24.  
  25. Open an OS/2 Window and change to the directory you just created.
  26. Type INSTALL and the script will create a HOUSE2 folder on the
  27. desktop and fill it with all executable programs present in the
  28. directory.

  30. To start the program, double-click on the X10 Comm Tester
  31. object inside the HOUSE2 Folder. Please read the online help
  32. for information on how to use this program.

  34. If you do not want to run the INSTALL, then you can also start
  35. X10 Comm Tester by opening an OS/2 Window command prompt, change
  36. the active directory to the directory where X10TEST.EXE resides,
  37. type X10TEST and press enter.

  39. Installing this program on your system does not change any of the INI
  40. or CONFIG.SYS files.

  42. Note that the same VPOBJ.DLL and RXASYNC.DLL are also used by HOUSE/2
  43. and are included for completeness in this archive.
