Home Automation System/2
Version 1.0
COPYRIGHT (c) 1997, Dennis Caffi
The Home Automation System/2 allows you to set up the CP290 X-10 Home
Control Interface. This program is a PM based application.
Installation:
The following files make up the Home Automation System/2:
home2.exe
home2.ico
home2.hlp
First copy these files to the directory of your choice. Change to that directory
and then run the install.cmd script. This will create a folder on the desktop and
an object for the Home/2 program and an object for the readme.doc file.
Using Home Automation System/2:
When you first start the program, you should set the base house code and
communications port. The base house code will allow you to control the modules
with the same house code from the rocker switches on the CP290 control unit.
The program will save these settings in the "home.ini" file.
A log file by the name "home.log" is created in the current directory each
time you start the program. This file contains the entries that appear in the
program window.
Please be patient when querying settings or setting timer events. The CP290
communicates at only 600 baud. Download time for the events increases with
the number of events that are set.
