  8.     This is the README file for the TiMidity v0.2 support files,
  9. contained in the archive timidity-lib-0.2.tar.gz (or tilib02i.zip).  These
  10. files are intended for use with the file timidity-0.2i.tar.gz (timid02i.zip)
  11. available at http://www.clinet.fi/~toivonen/timidity/

  13.     These files are identical to those in the earlier
  14. timidity-lib-0.1.tar.gz, with the exception of this file (README.lib).  For
  15. instructions on how to use these files, see the file INSTALL included in the
  16. source distribution.

  18.     There are six MIDI sequences in the midi directory.  Three of these
  19. are short test patterns and not much fun to listen to.  The other three are
  20. music arrangements decoded off alt.binaries.sounds.midi.  They are arranged
  21. for solo instruments; two are piano compositions, and one is for guitar.

  23.     These can be played with the acoustic piano and nylon guitar patches
  24. in the patch directory.  The patches were created by Dustin McCartney and
  25. redistributed with his kind permission.  More of Dustin's patches can be
  26. found on the Ultrasound FTP sites -- see the file INSTALL in the source
  27. distribution for a list of these sites.
