  6. Paradise.sys 1.90 and later performs a SyncLock update only when the
  7. hardware is not in SB emulation.  This prevents the DOS session sound
  8. from being disabled.  This only applies in DOS/SB emulation mode;
  9. SyncLock continues to work normally when in DOS/WSS mode.
  10.  
  11. To make use of the detection feature a control port must be specified
  12. in the Config box:
  13.  
  14. For Crystal CS4232/36/36B/37B/38B-based soundcards, the control port is
  15. specified on the cwconfig.sys line in config.sys as the /CS:<port> switch.
  16. This is typically not specified on this line but usually defaults to 538h.
  17.  
  18. For the Yamaha OPL3-SA2/SA3-based soundcards, the control port is
  19. specified on the opl3sa.sys line in config.sys as the /C:<port> switch.
  20. This is required, typically, and often is 390h.
  21.  
  22. If you can't determine the control port, either use the /V switch for your
  23. soundcard driver to see if the control port is listed as the driver starts
  24. up, or use rmview:
  25.  
  26.         [C:\]rmview /io
  27.  
  28. and note the addresses used by your driver (do not consider the 201 joystick
  29. port address nor the SB address (220 typically)).

  32. Once you exit the DOS/SB application and return to OS/2, SyncLock will
  33. start updating again.
  34.  
  35. If for some reason SyncLock does not work it may be that your control
  36. port is not correct.  Either find out the correct address or leave it
  37. blank, in which case be sure to turn off SyncLock before entering a
  38. DOS/SB application (and turn it back on when in OS/2).
