  2.                    MikMod/2 - An OS/2 Module Player

  9.    These Module players can handle the following formats.
  10.  
  11.  669,AMF,DSM,FAR,GDM,IMF,IT,MOD,MED,MTM,S3M,STX,ULT,UNI,XM

  13.    This is release 4 of my distribution of MikMod for OS/2. This 
  14. release contains 2 players (MikMod.exe & MikModPM.exe).
  15.  
  16.    MikModPM is A OS/2 GUI interface to the MikMod Library
  17. (MikMod2.dll). This player is based on a program I created a 
  18. year or so ago called AudioCenter.
  19.  
  20.    The Mikmod Library (MikMod2.dll) version included in the release
  21. is 3.1.8 (released on Oct 25/99). This version DOES NOT have a sharing
  22. option so selecting the "Share Device" option in MikModPM or using
  23. the -d share=Y option with Mikmod.exe will not cause MikMod to share
  24. the sound card with other applications. This version of the MikMod library
  25. also uses a differect method for specifying the buffer sizes. Using
  26. the -d buffer=12 will set the buffer size to 4kb, 13=8kb, 14=16kb, etc...

  28.    Mikmod2.dll can be used as a Sound Engine in games and such. If you
  29. are interested then goto the MikMod home page or contact me and I'll
  30. send all the info you will need to start using MikMod2.dll in your
  31. programs!

  33.    CHIPIM.S3M is included in the distribution so you can compare other
  34. players to MIkMod. CHIPIM.S3M was designed to cause most players to 
  35. fail.

  44.    My plan to port Cubic Player (www.cubic.org) to OS/2 seems
  45. to be very remote since the Cubic team seems not to be working
  46. on the player. If the Linux version does ever materialize then I'll
  47. start working on it but I am not holding my breath!

  49.    The good new is I have ported eXtended Module Player
  50. to OS/2. XMP can play 47 different types of modules.
