RemindYou/2 is very simple to use. If you wish to have RemindYou/2 start
up and shutdown immediately if there are no events scheduled then you
need to include the program file REMINDU2.EXE in your startup folder and
include the word STARTUP as a parameter. The STARTUP parameter will tell
RemindYou/2 to shutdown of there are no events.
No changes are saved to disk until you actually press the SAVE button.
All data is stored in the file RemindU2.dat. This file must be in the same
directory as RemindU2.exe was executed from. If it is not found, then it
will be created.
When you want to add/edit your own events, then choose the CONFIGURE menu
option. On the configuration screen, if you highlight one of the entries
in the listbox, then you can edit its details below.
To add new events, just click on the ADD button and then edit the details.
To edit event details, merely change the values in the options fields
after you have selected it. The changes are saved in memory and the list
box is updated as soon as you select another object on the screen.
Remember, for a repeating annual event, enter 0 for the year.
The DELETE button should be obvious, however it is only active when a list
box entry is highlighted.
The RESORT LIST button will sort the list based on date in YYMMDD format.
This is just for readability sake and not required for the program to work.
As you make changes, only the data that is loaded into memory is changed.
If you click the SAVE & EXIT button, all the changes are written to the file;
if you chose to abort all changes, then click the ABORT & EXIT button.
Please see LICENSE.DOC and ORDER.FRM files for license and ordering
information.
