  7. WHAT IS NOTED! ?
  8. ----------------

  10. NOTED! is a program that allows you to keep your notes organized. The
  11. program uses a unique way of accomplishing this. Notes are filed under
  12. subjects that you create. It seems more intuitive to file our notes
  13. and scraps of paper this way.
  14.  
  15. Using NOTED! you would create a new note called "Things To Do" for
  16. example. Then under this note you would enter whatever information
  17. you'd want to save as it pertains to this note. Additional text can
  18. be added at any time to a particular note. Notes can be changed and
  19. edited and portions of notes can be cut and pasted to other programs.

  21. New notes can be added and existing notes can be deleted.

  23. NOTES! relies on the use of the OS/2 system editor, so that all the
  24. power of that editor is available for you when you view an individual
  25. note. You can cut and paste, delete portions and edit your notes at
  26. will from within the editor.

  28. More information is available in the file called NOTED.HLP which is
  29. also called up when you hit F1 or click on Help in the program.

  32. INSTALLING NOTED!:

  35. Place all the files that came with the NOTED! package in its own
  36. subdirectory. Included in the package is a file called VROBJ.DLL.
  37. This is a dynamic link library file required by all programs
  38. written with VX-REXX. Place this file in a subdirectory pointed to
  39. in your LIBPATH statement in your CONFIG.SYS file. A convenient place
  40. to move this file to is C:\OS2\DLL. This way all your VX-REXX programs
  41. can make use of this one DLL file.

  43. Included in the package is an icon for NOTED.EXE. You can use this
  44. icon when setting up NOTED!.

  46. RUNNING NOTED!:

  49. NOTED! can be invoked by typing NOTED in an OS/2 window or more
  50. conveniently, you should setup a program object to give you quick
  51. access to NOTED! from your desktop or a desktop folder.

  53. The DEMO VERSION of NOTED! is restricted to only 5 notes. But this
  54. should give you a real feel for how NOTED! works and in itself would
  55. be useful if you only wanted to catalog keep just 5 notes. Most users
  56. will find that they'll want far more than just 5 notes. NOTED! can hold
  57. up to 999 different notes that you set up and is limited really only by
  58. the disk space you have. Each note file is stored in the directory
  59. you've install NOTED!.

  64. NOTED! is being introduced at an introductory price of only $ 20.00 US
  65. until December 30th, 1993. After that, the price goes up to its
  66. regular $ 30 US.
