  1. Two2Four.Exe is a DOS command line utility to convert your People.Dat
  2. (from versions 2.0 or 2.2 of WinNames or Names/2) to the new People2.Dat
  3. (version 4.0's) format.
  4. Simply copy your People.Dat to the same directory as Two2Four, and run
  5. Two2Four. No command-line parameters, no fancy output.

  7. DO NOTE, however: If you have tried the New Names/2 or WinNames version 4.0
  8. beta III and up, and have already added a few names to your database with it,
  9. this program will completely wipe it out. ie: it will create a new EMPTY
  10. People2.Dat, regardless of wether one exists already or not :)
  11. Sorry... but i figure if you've been using the old version of Names you have
  12. alot more entries in there than you will in this new one.

  14. NO damage will be done to your old People.Dat, however nothing is guarunteed.

  16. When you're done running this program you will have a People.Dat and a
  17. People2.Dat, both with the  same number of entries you had in your old
  18. people.dat. Your new People2.Dat will be significantly larger however, 
  19. due to the many more pieces of info you can store on people/companies you 
  20. keep track of.

  22. This program will also create your Name.Cfg file if one is not in the 
  23. current directory. See Name4doc.Txt for info on the name.cfg if you can't 
  24. figure it out from looking at it.
