Movie Manager Overview
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Movie Manager provides a cataloging facility for all types of movies. While it
was written primarily for home use with VHS-format tapes, it is flexible enough
to be useful for almost any application requiring the ability to maintain movie
information. One possible use which was not included in the design, but is
easily incorporated by the user, is cataloging of AVI, or CDROM movies.
Facilities are provided for printing movie labels, or movie information, and full
on screen help facilities are provided.
Program has only been tested on OS/2 Warp 3.0 but should work on any OS/2
system at 2.1 or higher.
Compatability
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Movie Manager is upward compatible with shareware program VIDCAT71. If you
have previously used VIDCAT71, Movie Manager will be able to convert the
database to Movie Manager format. A Movie Manager catalog/database is not
usable by VIDCAT71
Installation:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Place the Movie Manager files into a temporary directory (i.e., C:\MMINSTL) or
on a diskette (i.e., A:\) and change to that directory. Run INSTALL.CMD
Movie Manager requires no device drivers and does NOT modify your CONFIG.SYS.
The installation process will copy the Movie Manager files to the directory which
you specify, and will create an OS/2 desktop folder for Movie Manager.
NOTE: Movie Manager requires VX-REXX run time module VROBJ.DLL (v2.1d). If it
was not included, you may obtain it from Peter Norloff's OS/2 Shareware BBS
(703) 385-4325 as file VROBJ21D.ZIP
