  8.    - The search pattern in P-Book has changed. The % and _ masks are no longer
  9.      valid. Due to customer requirements I've changed this to the * and ? masks
  10.      found in file system commands. In addition it's no longer neccessary to
  11.      add a * at the first position of the search pattern always. The * is now
  12.      used at the first position if you're searching within the textfield.

  27.    - There's now a new application in the HWI.ZIP file. The OS/2 PMMail Robot
  28.      is a enhancement for PMMail. It allows to set up an unlimited count of
  29.      mailing lists. In addition to other Robots it stores and indexes every
  30.      submit mail, so that every user can request past messages at any time.

  32.      OS/2 PMMail Robot is freeware.

  98.    - There's now a new application in the HWI.ZIP file. The OS/2 Drop Spy is a
  99.      little tool for those developers that need to know what alien applications
  100.      define as it's Darg and Drop protocol. The OS/2 Drop Spy shows the
  101.      rendering information, source and target name, the type and container
  102.      information.

  104.      OS/2 Drop Spy is freeware. There's no separate ZIP. It's only included
  105.      in the OS/2 Shareware Collection file (HWI.ZIP) and installed during the
  106.      installation of the OS/2 Shareware Collection.

  131.    incompatibilities with the registration of additional frame extensions.
  132.    Please add my apps to the incompatibility list of XIT whenever you
  133.    experience SYS3175 traps in HWIS.DLL.

  135.    A new release of XIT seems to avoid this problem so please download a new
  136.    release of XIT whenever you experience such problems.

  146.    more than this application you need to download them all again. If you don't
  147.    do this, you'll see corrupted bitmaps in the toolbar buttons and some of
  148.    the toolbar selection dialogs (in OS/2 P-Book) won't work anymore. In
  149.    addition you'll notice faults during load of the applications.

  191.  - Due to customer requirements, the directory structure for all my Shareware
  192.    apps has changed.

  194.    The old installation procedure created the following struct on your
  195.    harddisk:

  197.       x:\HaWi\HWIClass (SOM/WPS ClassBrowser)
  198.               HWIPbk   (P-Book)
  199.               HWISLevl (SyslevelEditor)
  200.               HWITrack (ProblemTracker)
  201.               HWIDbf   (XBaseSpy)

  206.    In addition many directory entries were copied to your LIBPATH, PATH and
  207.    HELP environment in your CONFIG.SYS.

  209.    The new installation procedure will create the following struct on your
  210.    harddisk:

  212.       x:\HaWi\Bin (Applications)
  213.               Dll (Common DLLs)
  214.  
  215.    The following steps are neccessary to transfer the old settings to the new
  216.    format:

  218.    1.) Use the INSTALL.EXE on this disk to install the applications. Please
  219.        let the installation change your CONFIG.SYS and Desktop objects.
  220.  
  221.        The old WPS objects will be changed to the new location and the new
  222.        Shareware applications DDESpy and SystemSpy will be inserted.
  223.  
  224.    2.) Copy the *.INI files from the old HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISLevl, HWITrack,
  225.        HWIDbf, HWIDde and HWISys directories to the new Bin directory.
  226.  
  227.        This step is required. If you would omit this step the old P-Book
  228.        databases can't be found.
  229.  
  230.    3.) Remove the old directories HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISlevl, HWITrack,
  231.        HWIDbf, HWIDde and HWISys.
  232.  
  233.        These directories are no longer required after performing steps 1 thru
  234.        2.
  235.  
  236.    4.) Remove the entries for HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISlevl, HWITrack, HWIDbf,
  237.        HWIDde and HWISys from the LIBPATH, PATH and HELP environment in your
  238.        CONFIG.SYS.
  239.  
  240.        These entries are no longer required. Please do not (!) delete the new
  241.        entries named BIN or DLL.
