  8.    - Again there's a new application. DBF2DB2 is a IBM DB2 UDB table function
  9.      that allows to use Dbase 3 databases from within IBMs DB2 UDB database
  10.      system. It allows to SELECT Dbase 3 databases within standard SQL
  11.      statements. DBF2DB2 not only allows to read Dbase 3 data, it even allows
  12.      to move a complete Dbase 3 database to an IBM DB2 UDB table with one (!)
  13.      single SQL statement.

  25.      valid. Due to customer requirements I've changed this to the * and ? masks
  26.      found in file system commands. In addition it's no longer neccessary to

  28.      used at the first position if you're searching within the textfield.

  43.    - There's now a new application in the HWI.ZIP file. The OS/2 PMMail Robot
  44.      is a enhancement for PMMail. It allows to set up an unlimited count of
  45.      mailing lists. In addition to other Robots it stores and indexes every
  46.      submit mail, so that every user can request past messages at any time.

  48.      OS/2 PMMail Robot is freeware.

  114.    - There's now a new application in the HWI.ZIP file. The OS/2 Drop Spy is a
  115.      little tool for those developers that need to know what alien applications
  116.      define as it's Darg and Drop protocol. The OS/2 Drop Spy shows the
  117.      rendering information, source and target name, the type and container
  118.      information.

  120.      OS/2 Drop Spy is freeware. There's no separate ZIP. It's only included
  121.      in the OS/2 Shareware Collection file (HWI.ZIP) and installed during the
  122.      installation of the OS/2 Shareware Collection.

  147.    incompatibilities with the registration of additional frame extensions.
  148.    Please add my apps to the incompatibility list of XIT whenever you
  149.    experience SYS3175 traps in HWIS.DLL.

  151.    A new release of XIT seems to avoid this problem so please download a new
  152.    release of XIT whenever you experience such problems.

  162.    more than this application you need to download them all again. If you don't
  163.    do this, you'll see corrupted bitmaps in the toolbar buttons and some of

  165.    addition you'll notice faults during load of the applications.

  208.    apps has changed.

  210.    The old installation procedure created the following struct on your
  211.    harddisk:

  222.    In addition many directory entries were copied to your LIBPATH, PATH and

  225.    The new installation procedure will create the following struct on your
  226.    harddisk:

  228.       x:\HaWi\Bin (Applications)
  229.               Dll (Common DLLs)
  230.  
  231.    The following steps are neccessary to transfer the old settings to the new
  232.    format:

  234.    1.) Use the INSTALL.EXE on this disk to install the applications. Please
  235.        let the installation change your CONFIG.SYS and Desktop objects.
  236.  
  237.        The old WPS objects will be changed to the new location and the new
  238.        Shareware applications DDESpy and SystemSpy will be inserted.
  239.  
  240.    2.) Copy the *.INI files from the old HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISLevl, HWITrack,
  241.        HWIDbf, HWIDde and HWISys directories to the new Bin directory.
  242.  
  243.        This step is required. If you would omit this step the old P-Book
  244.        databases can't be found.
  245.  
  246.    3.) Remove the old directories HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISlevl, HWITrack,
  247.        HWIDbf, HWIDde and HWISys.
  248.  
  249.        These directories are no longer required after performing steps 1 thru
  250.        2.
  251.  
  252.    4.) Remove the entries for HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISlevl, HWITrack, HWIDbf,
  253.        HWIDde and HWISys from the LIBPATH, PATH and HELP environment in your
  254.        CONFIG.SYS.
  255.  
  256.        These entries are no longer required. Please do not (!) delete the new
  257.        entries named BIN or DLL.
