  1. Welcome and Thanks for downloading HamClock 1.6!

  3. Requirements
  4. --------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. The only requirement for HamClock, is a computer running OS/2 Warp
  6. version 3.0 or better.
  7.  
  8. Installation
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------
  10. To install HamClock, just unzip HamClock (or copy all HamClock's files)
  11. to a directory of your choice, and then run the small rexx script makeicon.cmd
  12. to create the objects for you.  You can also use the makeicon.cmd script to
  13. recreate the objects, if for any reason, your desktop becomes lost.

  15. NOTICE TO UPGRADERS:  Please see the sections below on how to upgrade your
  16. version of HamClock.

  18. Information on how to setup and use HamClock is located in the file
  19. hamclock.inf.  Either double click on the book object (after running the
  20. makeicon.cmd), or type VIEW HAMCLOCK.INF from the command line.  Among
  21. general stuff, it includes some features that are not apparent at first
  22. glance.

  24. Upgrading from version 1.0
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------
  26. NOTICE:  If you have/had HamClock 1.0 on your system, copy the new files over
  27. the old ones, and then run HamClock with the -ra parameter.
  28. I.E.  HamClock.exe -ra
  29. This will remove the old entries in os2.ini, as one of the changes, were to the
  30. Profile Entries.  The bad news is you will have to re-setup HamClock.  Now, you
  31. can run HamClock without any parameters, and start using the new version.

  33. Upgrading from version 1.5
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------
  35. If your upgrading from version 1.5, the only thing you will have to do is copy
  36. the new files over the old ones.  Everything except your Options (General
  37. Settings) should port over just fine.  I made several changes to the Dialog
  38. Box for the General Settings, and the way they were saved to the INI file, so
  39. you will need to re-setup what options you used (and make sure options you did
  40. not use are not checked), and restart HamClock to begin using the new version.
