  2.    Disk Librarian was written as an aid to help keep track of the boxes of
  3. Software and Data files I have accumulated over the years.

  5.    The program was written using VisPro/REXX so you must have REXX
  6. installed on your computer.
  7.  
  8.    To install The program run the Install.exe program. You will be
  9. prompted for a Drive and directory to install the program to.
  10. A WPS Object will be created on your desktop, double click on the
  11. Icon to start Disk Librarian.
  12.    The program will create a default library file "Filelist.lst" in
  13. the same directory as the program.
  14. To begin building your library file select Add Disks under the
  15. Options menu item. The program will scan drive A to try and get a
  16. disk label. If a label exists it will be written into the entry field
  17. for you. You may leave the label as is or change it.
  18. If the label you enter does not match the label of the disk you will
  19. be prompted to change the label on the disk to match the entry field.
  20. Once you have a library started you may edit the library to add
  21. comments to the file listings, make sure that any comments you add are
  22. on the same line as the listing.

  25.    The Library file is a plain text file that includes the Name or Label
  26. of the disk, the total number of files, the Free Space on the disk and the
  27. file listing.
