  3.     Installation Notes (INSTALL.TXT) for the DBExpert 2.0.8 Update Kit

  7.     The DBExpert 2.0.8 Update Kit is designed to update an installed copy
  8.     of DBExpert 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4, 2.0.5, 2.0.6, or 2.0.7 to
  9.     Version 2.0.8.  Do not attempt to use this kit to update a copy of 
  10.     DBExpert Version 1.

  12.     This file only contains information about installation of the Update
  13.     Kit.  You should also consult the Release Notes (README.TXT) for more
  14.     information about DBExpert 2.0.8 before you install the update.

  17.     Update Kit Flavors
  18.  
  19.     Note that the Update Kit comes in two distinct flavors, one for the
  20.     full version and one for the DBExpert Runtime.

  22.     If you are trying to identify one kit from another, the typical names
  23.     under which the kits are found are:

  25.         DBUP208.ZIP         Update Kit for full version
  26.         DBUP208R.ZIP        Update Kit for DBExpert Runtime

  29.     Installation Instructions
  30.  
  31.     The DBExpert 2.0.8 Update consists of the following files:
  32.         DBE.DLL
  33.         DBEQ.DLL
  34.         DBEDB2.DLL
  35.  
  36.     To install the update, make sure DBExpert is not running and then simply
  37.     copy these files to the directory where you have DBExpert installed.  
  38.     (You may wish to make a backup copy of your existing copies of these files
  39.     before doing this.  DBEQ.DLL was a new file in version 2.0.3, so there is
  40.     no need to make a backup copy of this file if you are updating from 2.0.2
  41.     or earlier.)   Note that the DBEDB2.DLL file is the same as that included
  42.     in version 2.0.6 and 2.0.7.

  44.     Also included is an updated README.TXT file.  We suggest you also copy
  45.     this file to your DBExpert directory along with SQLWORDS.TXT which
  46.     contains an extensive list of SQL reserved words (which generally should
  47.     not be used as table or column names).  This file is the same as that 
  48.     included with version 2.0.5 and later.

  50.     And finally, the file FIXLIST.TXT contains a list of all problems which
  51.     have been fixed since 2.0 was released.  This file is included only
  52.     as an item of interest.

  55.     Of Interest To Runtime Users
  56.  
  57.     The Runtime update kit contains different versions of the same files
  58.     as the full update kit (with the exception that SQLWORDS.TXT is not
  59.     included).  The installation instructions are the same, except that 
  60.     the name of your installation directory may be DBERUN rather than
  61.     DBEXPERT.
