  3. DataGuide/2 is a OS/2 workstation-based product that provides
  4. online catalog of data and information.   The catalog can be
  5. shared within a workgroup or across the company.
  6.  
  7. DataGuide/2 makes it easy for users to identify and locate
  8. data that are informative, using terms that they understand.
  9. DataGuide/2 provides the following features:
  10.        
  11.   o A reference set of object types to help create data as
  12.     information objects.
  13.   o A user-friendly (PM-based) interface to simplify searching
  14.     for data/information.
  15.   o Import/Export functions to populate the catalog.
  16.   o A full set of administration functions (create/delete/
  17.     update/...) for ease of maintenance of the catalog.
  18.   o An extractor (dg2ext.exe) that can be used to extract
  19.     descriptive data from DB2, DB2/2, or OS/400 relational
  20.     database catalogs, as well as from OS/2 Query Manager's
  21.     Query and Procedure tables.
  22.   o Sample programs as extract utilities that are designated
  23.     for extracting desciptive data from databases reside on
  24.     Bachman, Oracle, or Sybase.
