  4. Thank you for trying PM ScrapBook.  PM ScrapBook is a 32 bit PM database application 
  5. for organizing data and information.
  6.  
  7. Contents of this package are:

  9. PMScrpBk.txt - This.
  10. PMScrpBk.exe - The PM Scrapbook executable.
  11. PMScrpBk.hlp - The online help for PM Scrapbook.
  12. PMScrpBk.scb - An example scrapbook.

  14. Installation:
  15.  
  16. Step1 - Copy PMScrpBk.exe to a directory that you use to store programs or
  17.         to it's own directory.
  18.  
  19. Step2 - Copy PMScrpBk.hlp to a directory that is listed in the HELP variable
  20.         in your CONFIG.SYS
  21.         or 
  22.         add the new directory for PM Scrapbook to your CONFIG.SYS HELP var
  23.  
  24. Step3 - Copy PMScrpBk.scb to your disk. In general, it helps to create a new
  25.         directory and copy all of these files in it. You can then store
  26.         additional scrapbooks in the same directory with the executables and
  27.         help.

  29. Step3 - Add a program entry to any of your folders for PMScrpbk.exe.  The
  30.         only required program setting is the Path and file name field for
  31.         PMScrpBk.exe. If you enter a scrapbook file in the Parameters field,
  32.         PM Scrapbook will open the file when executed.

  34. ================== REGISTRATION ==========================================
  35.  
  36. If, after 30 days, you find PM Scrapbook useful, you should register it.
  37. The registration fee for individuals is $35 (US).  The registered version
  38. disables the initial 'hello' window and provides you peace of mind.
  39.  
  40. Registeration for PM Scrapbook is $35 U.S. per copy. Site licenses can be 
  41. negotiated on  request. Registered users will receive a copy of the 
  42. program without the initial 'hello' window and notices of subsequent 
  43. releses as well as information about other Coolware products.
  44.  
  45. Registration fees may be submitted through cash, checks drawn on U.S. banks,
  46. money orders or international money orders.
  47.  
  48. Note: Please include your name, address and the version number you are 
  49. registering.

  138. ================== A NOTE TO CURRENT PM SCRAPBOOK USERS ==================
  139.  
  140. Every effort has been made in this release of PM Scrapbook to insure that
  141. all scrapbooks created in previous versions are still compatable. If you 
  142. have trouble loading an earlier version of a scrapbook, please forward the 
  143. file to Coolware and every effort will be made to correct the problem. All 
  144. data within the file will be held in the strictest of confidence.

  146. You may notice that the 'List' entry type is no longer. List entries are 
  147. automatically converted to MiniBases when the file is loaded. Loading a 
  148. scrapbook containing a List entry immediately flags the scrapbook as 
  149. modified. You should save the file to disk to convert the scrapbbok to 
  150. the latest format. You will not lose data if you don't.

  152. ================== UNINSTALLING PM SCRAPBOOK =============================
  153.  
  154. Step1 - Run PMScrpBk.exe from an OS/2 command window with "remove_pmsb_now"
  155.         (without the quotes) as a parameter. This will remove the 
  156.         references to PM Scrapbook from your OS/2 INI file.
  157.  
  158. Step2 - Delete PMScrpBk.* from the directory you installed it in.
  159.  
  160. Step3 - Delete all *.scb files from your hard drive.
  161.  
  162. Note that you may perform only 'Step1' if you want to 'reset' PM Scrapbbok
  163. to it's default settings.
