  4. This program is a substantial revision of Charles Petzold's Clock program, 
  5. which can be found in his book, "Programming the OS/2 Presentation Manager". It 
  6. displays an analog clock, updated once per second. 
  7.  
  8. For Frank's Nursery, this program has been modified to monitor system task 
  9. count or processing load and to change its border color according to the 
  10. current level. 
  11.  
  12. The help facility is active, as you've already seen, and those program commands 
  13. that exist may be accessed via the window's system menu.  The following 
  14. commands are available:

  23. In addition to those features already described, this program accepts commands 
  24. from the OS/2 2.0 Font and Color Palette programs.

  29. When you select this menu option, the program saves its current position and 
  30. the status of the Hide Controls option.  The next time the program is started, 
  31. it will be started with that position and with the controls hidden (or not) 
  32. according to the saved state.

  39. Selecting this menu option will reset the program's font and color attributes 
  40. to their default values.

  43. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Hide Controls (Menu Option) ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  45. This menu option, when selected, will cause the program's frame controls (the 
  46. system menu, the titlebar and the minimize button) to be hidden. This option 
  47. can be toggled with a double-click on either mouse button. Also, since I saw it 
  48. as very useful to be able to move the window while the controls were hidden, 
  49. the window has been set up so that you can drag it with either mouse button.

  51. Note:   The short-cut key for this command is Alt+H.

  54. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Configure (Menu Option) ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  56. This menu option, when selected, will cause the program's configuration dialog 
  57. to be displayed. For more information, see Configure (Dialog).

  64. This dialog allows you to change all configurable aspects of this program's 
  65. operation.  To escape without effecting any changes, press the ESCAPE key or 
  66. click on the Escape pushbutton. To save the changes you've made, press the 
  67. ENTER key or click on the OK pushbutton. 
  68. The configurable items include the following:

  70. Clock Type The clock face can be either analog (with hands) or digital. When 
  71. the clock is iconized, the face is always analog. 
  72.  
  73. 24-Hour Clock The digital clock can display time either as a 24-hour 
  74. military-style time, from 00:00 to 23:59, or as a 12-hour civilian time, with 
  75. 'am' and 'pm' appended to the numeric time. 
  76.  
  77. Hide Controls When the clock is not iconized, it can be show with or without 
  78. the usual title bar, system menu and minimize/maximize buttons.  If you chose 
  79. to hide these controls, the sizing border remains.  The window may be 
  80. positioned by dragging its center area.  It may be resized by dragging any of 
  81. the four borders or the corners.

  83. Chime This button activates an hourly chime function.  When this button has 
  84. been check-marked, the clock will beep twice at the top of every hour.

  86. Float to Top This button activates an window's float-to-top function. When this 
  87. button has been check-marked, the clock will float to the top of the window 
  88. stack, making itself visible all the time.
