  1. 1.  Open the OS/2 System folder
  2. 2.  Open the Command Prompts folder
  3. 3.  Right click once on DOS Full Screen
  4. 4.  Left click on the copy choice
  5. 5.  Highlight DOS Full Screen and type Wing Commander III in the title 
  6.     bar
  7. 6.  Left Click on 'Desktop' in the spiral, then Left Click on the copy 
  8.     button
  9. 7.  Close all open windows
  10. 8.  Right Click on the Wing Commander III icon
  11. 9.  Left Click on the Settings selection
  12. 10. Type your CD-ROM drive letter, a colon, a backslash, and WC3
  13.     (i.e. E:\WC3)
  14. 11. Left Click the Secessions tab
  15. 12. Left Click DOS Settings
  16. 13. Left Click OK for All DOS Settings
  17. 14. Change the settings listed below to the value indicated:
  18.         AUDIO_ADAPTER_SHARING       REQUIRED
  19.         DOS_BACKGROUND_EXECUTION    OFF
  20.         DOS_DEVICE                  <add sound driver lines>
  21.         DOS_FILES                   30
  22.         DOS_HIGH                    ON
  23.         DPMI_MEMORY_LIMIT           16
  24.         EMS_MEMORY_LIMIT            0
  25.         HW_ROM_TO_RAM               ON
  26.         HW_TIMER                    ON
  27.         IDLE_SECONDS                60
  28.         IDLE_SENSITIVITY            100
  29.         INT_DURING_IO               ON
  30.         KBD_BUFFER_EXTEND           OFF
  31.         SESSION_PRIORITY            32
  32.         VIDEO_8514A_XGA_IOTRAP      OFF
  33.         XMS_MEMORY_LIMIT            0
  34. 15. Left Click the Save button
  35. 16. Close the window by left double clicking to upper left corner.

  37. Your icon should be installed and ready to go.  Left Double Click to
  38. begin the game.

  40. For OS/2 2.0, 2.01, 2.1, and 2.11, omit the settings that are not 
  41. present in those versions.  You should not need to change any other 
  42. settings.

  44. Additionally, if you have DOS version 5.0 or above, you may find a 
  45. substantial performance increase if you create a virtual secession 
  46. running the actual copy of DOS.  Creating a VMDISK is relatively easy, 
  47. and complete instructions can be found on-line by typing 'HELP VMDISK' 
  48. in an OS/2 window.

  50. NOTE : OS/2 is not an officially supported environment for Wing
  51. Commander III.  These settings are suggestions only. While they should
  52. work for you, Origin's Technical Support is not as knowledgeable at
  53. resolving OS/2 difficulties as IBM. Origin recommends you contact IBM 
  54. Technical Support for a resolution.
