Sharing Violation in Aldus PageMaker 5.0--OS/2 2.1 and OS/2 2.11

DESCRIPTION
A sharing violation is received in Aldus Pagemaker 5.0 when opening a
new document by selecting File from the menu bar and then New; when
opening a template file; or when opening a .PM4 document.
RESOLUTION
1. At an OS/2 command prompt, type E AUTOEXEC.BAT and press Enter to
edit the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
2. Find the correct PATH statement; then add the following statement:
SET TEMP=x:\windir\TEMP
(x is the drive where OS/2 is installed; windir is either WINDOWS
for OS/2 2.1 for Windows (SE) or OS2\MDOS\WINOS2 for OS/2 2.1 GA.)
3. Select File and then Save.
4. If no file type is associated, select Type, Plain Text, and then
Set.
5. Save and exit the file.
6. Open a DOS Full Screen session. At the command prompt, type CD
WINDIR and press Enter.
7. Type COPY CON SHARE.EXE and press Enter twice.
8. Press F6.
9. Make sure no Windows applications or WIN-OS/2 sessions are running.
10. At the command prompt, type DEL *.TMP and press Enter.
