  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. After applying Service Pak XR06200 and attempting to do a Selective 
  15. Install of WIN-OS/2 support, the following error message is received:
  16.  
  17.    SYS1217: The file cannot be decompressed with this version
  18.    of the OS/2 UNPACK command.
  19.  
  20. RESOLUTION
  21.  
  22. The UNPACK command does not cause the problem because both the GA 
  23. version and the Service Pak version work manually. You need to copy 
  24. INSTALL.EXE from the OS/2 2.1 GA diskettes to the \OS2\INSTALL directory
  25. after the Service Pak is installed.
  26.  
  27. 1. Insert the following OS/2 2.1 GA diskette in drive A:
  28.  
  29.    * Blue label: Diskette 4
  30.    * Salmon label: Diskette 3
  31.  
  32. 2. At an OS/2 Window command prompt, type CD OS2\INSTALL and press
  33.    Enter.
  34.  
  35. 3. Type UNPACK A:\BUNDLE /N:INSTALL.EXE and press Enter to copy
  36.    INSTALL.EXE to the hard disk.
  37.  
  38. 4. Open OS/2 System.
  39.  
  40. 5. Open System Setup.
  41.  
  42. 6. Select Selective Install.
  43.  
  44. 7. Select WIN-OS/2 Support and complete the installation.
