  11. DESCRIPTION

  13. During Selective Install of WIN-OS/2 support, after choosing to copy 
  14. the WIN-OS/2 Desktop from an existing Windows Desktop and pressing OK, 
  15. an error occurs: Invalid Windows Configuration File.

  17. RESOLUTION
  18.  
  19. 1. Open an OS/2 Window. 
  20.  
  21. 2. Type E X:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI, then press Enter 
  22.    (where X:\WINDOWS is the drive and path to your existing Windows 
  23.    directory).

  25. 3. Make sure the WIN.INI file contains the following statements in the 
  26.    [windows] section:

  29.    RUN=
