  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. The following error message occurs at Diskette 1 during a CD-ROM 
  16. installation:, 
  17.  
  18.    Not enough hard disk space to install.
  19.  
  20.  
  21. RESOLUTION
  22.  
  23. 1. Make sure there is no compression program on the hard disk.
  24.  
  25. 2. Type FDISK and press Enter; verify that all partitions are shown
  26.    correctly. If FDISK does not show the partitions correctly, run
  27.    CHKDSK and a virus program to verify the condition of the drive.

  29. After completing these steps:

  31. 1. Upgrade the EPROM for the 8590.
  32. 2. Change the NEC CD-ROM setting for SCSI I. The IBM SCSI controller is
  33.    SCSI I-compliant.
