RESOLUTION
Download SP1480.EXE from the Compaq BBS at 713-518-4481, or the Compaq
web site at www.compaq.com. This file is a self-extracting executable,
containing drivers for the CL-754x video chipset. Please refer to the
included README file.
How to Install the OS/2 Desktop Driver and WIN-OS/2 Full-Screen Session
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Make sure the 7543 OS/2 Driver Diskette is labeled "CL DISP,"
by using the DOS Label command "LABEL A:" or "LABEL B:".
2. Install OS/2 Warp v3.0 (if not already installed). Select VGA
as the primary display adapter during installation. Do not
select "Cirrus Logic" because it currently supports only Cirrus
Logic desktop products.
3. Insert the Cirrus Logic 7543 OS/2 Driver Diskette into the
diskette drive.
4. Open an OS/2 Full-Screen session.
5. Change to the diskette drive which contains the driver
diskette.
6. Invoke the OS/2 batch file CLINST30.CMD, using the OS/2 startup
drive, without a colon, as the parameter:
[A:\]CLINST30 C
7. Select the primary display type with the "Cirrus Logic
GD7542, GD7543" title.
8. Follow the applicable directions to ensure a complete
installation.
