DESCRIPTION
During installation on a Gateway 2000 486/66 with a local bus and ATI
Graphics Ultra Pro, the system gets to the screen displaying the OS/2
Full Screen symbol. The screen then displays 5 or 6 horizontal bands of
video separated by black bands that scroll horizontally across the
screen.
RESOLUTION
Run the Setup program for the ATI card and set up the monitor as an IBM
default:
1. Start the system with DOS.
2. Change to the MACH32 directory.
3. Type INSTALL and press Enter.
4. At the Main Selection screen, select Set power up configuration.
5. At the next screen select Monitor type.
6. The next screen should have the 1572 Monitor with 72 Hz refresh rate
highlighted. Press Enter to select it.
7. Select IBM default as the new monitor.
After a successful installation, repeat these steps to reselect the
1572 Monitor.
