  10. DESCRIPTION
  11.  
  12. A system with an Adaptec 2920 controller encounters a trap000D error on 
  13. startup after loading OS2ASPI.DMD, as it is attempts to load 
  14. FD16-700.ADD.
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION
  17.  
  18. 1. Download 2920_OS2.EXE from:
  19.

  21.       http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/html
  22.       /diskands/adaptec/aha2920/index.htm
  23.  
  24.    Extract the files by typing 2920_OS2.
  25.  
  26. 2. Insert the OS/2 Warp 4 Installation Diskette in drive A:, then 
  27.    restart the system. Insert Diskettes 1 and 2 when prompted.  
  28.    Press F3 at the Easy/Advanced Installation screen to escape to a 
  29.    command prompt.
  30.  
  31. 3. Type TEDIT C:\CONFIG.SYS, then press Enter (where C: is the OS/2 
  32.    drive). Press Esc to scroll through the file. 
  33.  
  34. 4. Add REM to the beginning of the BASEDEV=FD16-700.ADD statement.
  35.  
  36. 5. Add the following line:  BASEDEV=AHA2920.ADD
  37.  
  38. 6. Save and exit the file.
  39.  
  40. 7. Copy the AHA2920.ADD file extracted in step 2 to the root directory 
  41.    of the partition where OS/2 resides.
  42.  
  43. 8. Remove any diskettes from the drive and restart the system.
  44.
