  11. DESCRIPTION
  12.  
  13. When installing Multi-Protocol Transport Services (MPTS), you encounter 
  14. the following error when attempting to install OS/2 Warp Connect 
  15. requesters.
  16.  
  17.    XI00107:  ERROR While attempting to copy the file
  18.    "D:\CID\IMG\LAPS\MPTN\ETC\ETC.ZIP".

  20. RESOLUTION
  21.  
  22. From an OS/2 Window or Full-Screen session, type the following and press
  23. Enter.

  25.   [C:\]help xi00107

  27. The following explanation appears:
  28.  
  29.   XI00107: Error while attempting to copy the file "***".
  30.  
  31. CAUSE: MPTS encountered an error while trying to copy a file. MPTS must
  32. copy a number of files as part of its operations. MPTS can fail to copy 
  33. a file because the source file doesn't exist or because the replacement 
  34. file is currently in use by the system and cannot be replaced.
  35.  
  36. ACTION: Make sure the source file exists. If the source file is part of 
  37. the MPTS "packed" diskette image, obtain a new copy of the MPTS 
  38. Diskettes and retry the operation. If the target file already exists on 
  39. the system, verify that the operation is a reinstallation and the file 
  40. IBMLVL.INI exists in the root of the drive where MPTS is already 
  41. installed. If the file does not exist, then MPTS must be manually 
  42. removed from the system and then reinstalled.

  44. If previous attempts to install OS/2 Warp Connect's MPTS component leave
  45. an incomplete installation of OS/2 Warp Connect portions, then launching
  46. MPTS from the CD-ROM will give you an option to remove MPTS. You can 
  47. then follow the removal instructions for TCP/IP and NetWare Requester 
  48. according to the corresponding README files. OS/2 Warp Connect can then 
  49. be reinstalled according to the installation sequence in the Redbook, 
  50. OS/2 Warp Generation, Volume 2: Exploring LAN Connectivity With OS/2 
  51. Warp Connect (GG24-4505), page 81.
