  11. DESCRIPTION
  12.  
  13. 1. The Zenith Data Systems Laptop, Z-NOTEFLEX, with 16 MB of RAM, locks
  14.    up when drive A is accessed with any command except DIR, which works
  15.    fine. The system must be turned off and then turned on again.
  16.  
  17. 2. The Zenith notebook computer, Z-NOTEVIEW, has power management that
  18.    turns off the diskette controller but does not turn it back on.

  20. RESOLUTION

  22. Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.

  27. 1. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file and remark-out (REM):

  29.       DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\APM.SYS
  30.  
  31. 2. Save and exit the file; then restart the system.

  34. Z-NOTEVIEW Problem
  35. ------------------
  36. 1. Turn off OS/2 Advanced Power Management. You can do this using
  37.    Selective Install or by editing the CONFIG.SYS file and
  38.    remarking-out (REM) the APM.SYS and VAPM.SYS statements.

  40. 2. Restart the system.
