=======================================================================
Problems with Zenith's Z-NOTEFLEX and Z-NOTEVIEW in OS/2 Warp
=======================================================================
Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures
--------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
1. The Zenith Data Systems Laptop, Z-NOTEFLEX, with 16 MB of RAM, locks
up when drive A is accessed with any command except DIR, which works
fine. The system must be turned off and then turned on again.
2. The Zenith notebook computer, Z-NOTEVIEW, has power management that
turns off the diskette controller but does not turn it back on.
RESOLUTION
Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
Z-NOTEFLEX Problem
------------------
1. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file and remark-out (REM):
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\APM.SYS
2. Save and exit the file; then restart the system.
Z-NOTEVIEW Problem
------------------
1. Turn off OS/2 Advanced Power Management. You can do this using
Selective Install or by editing the CONFIG.SYS file and
remarking-out (REM) the APM.SYS and VAPM.SYS statements.
2. Restart the system.
