  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. OS/2 FDISK is unable to recognize a 4.5 G hard disk attached to an 
  15. Adaptec 2940 controller, when using the AIC7870.ADD driver. With 
  16. IBMINT13.I13, the hard disk is recognized, but other devices are not.
  17.  
  18. RESOLUTION
  19.  
  20. Using the SCSI Device Configuration Utility that ships with the 
  21. controller, set the INITIATE SYNC NEGOTIATION to NO and the WIDE 
  22. NEGOTIATION to NO for the 4.5 G drive.
  23.  
  24. Note: This is a hardware configuration problem. For further assistance, 
  25.       contact your hardware vendor.
