DESCRIPTION
FeatherNet BBS Pro! v1.01 for DOS, by FeatherNet Software, does not run
correctly in OS/2.
RESOLUTION
Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
1. Edit the OS/2 CONFIG.SYS file and make sure it has the following
statements:
COM DRIVERS FOR OS2 OR RAY GYWNN'S SIO COM DRIVERS
PRIORITY_DISK_IO=NO
MAXWAIT=1
2. Create a program icon for FeatherNet BBS Pro!; then set the DOS
Session settings as follows:
COM_DIRECT_ACCESS = OFF
COM_HOLD = ON
COM_RECEIVE_BUFFER_FLUSH = NONE
COM_SELECT = (COM port the modem is on)
DOS_AUTOEXEC.BAT = (the one you create)
DOS_BACKGROUND_EXECUTION = ON
DOS_BREAK = ON
DOS_DEVICE = ANSI.SYS
DOS_DEVICE = ANSI.SYS
DOS_FCBS = DEFAULT
DOS_FILES = 35
DOS_HIGH = ON
DOS_LASTDRIVE = DEFAULT
DOS_RMSIZE = DEFAULT
DOS_SHELL = X:\OS2\MDOS\COMMAND.COM /P
DOS_STARTUP_DRIVE = DEFAULT
DOS_UMB = (ON or OFF)
DOS_VERSION = DEFAULT
DPMI_DOS_API = DEFAULT
DPMI_MEMORY_LIMIT = DEFAULT
EMS_FRAME_LOCATION = DEFAULT
EMS_LOW_OS_MAP_REGION = DEFAULT
EMS_MEMORY_LIMIT = DEFAULT
EMS_MEMORY_LIMIT = DEFAULT
HW_ROM_TO_RAM = ON

Note: Add SET NODE=1 to the new AUTOEXEC.BAT file. You must run FFN.BAT
from the NODE 1 directory.
