  1. Lost Lockup Password                     7/15/94

  5.  If you forgot your OS/2 Lockup password and you have the machine
  6.  lockup at startup you can follow the following procedure which
  7.  will remove the lockup at startup and remove the password.
  8.  
  9. =======================================================================
  10.  1) Do a SHUTDOWN from the desktop menu.
  11.  2) a. Reboot after putting the OS/2 installation diskette
  12.        into your bootable drive.
  13.     b. Put diskette #1 in the drive when requested and press <enter>.
  14.     c. When the WELCOME screen appears, press ESC to cancel.
  15.  3) At this point you should be at a A: Prompt
  16.  4) At the "A" command prompt type "X:" <enter> where X: is the OS/2
  17.     partition.
  18.  5) Type "CD \OS2" <enter>.
  19.  6) Type "ATTRIB OS2.INI -R" <enter>.
  20.  7) Type "MAKEINI OS2.INI LOCK.RC" <enter>.
  21.  8) Type "ATTRIB OS2.INI +R" <enter>.
  22.  9) WHEN you see MAKEINI SUCCESSFUL, take the diskette out of the
  23.     drive and reboot the machine.

  26. You should now be able to reset the password. If you have any problems
