  1. Accessing the IBM PCCBBS                        3/15/94

  6.                       USING THE IBM PCC BBS
  7.         (IBM Personal Computer Company Bulletin Board System)

  10.      Setup your communications software to dial 919-517-0001.
  11. When you are connected the system will ask you your name and
  12. password.  If you do not have a password the system will ask
  13. you to select one.
  14.  
  15.      Select (L)ist and the system will give you a list of
  16. directories.  From this list you may select the one you need.
  17. The list of OS/2 files are as follows:

  19. 10:OS/2 Utilities                  11:OS/2 Programming
  20. 12:OS/2 Graphics & Music           13:OS/2 Entertainment
  21. 14:OS/2 Communications Files       15:OS/2 Text Files
  22. 16:OS/2 Applications               17:OS/2 Device Drivers
  23. 18:OS/2 Bulletin Board             36:ValuePoint Files
  24. Select the one you want.

  26.      Look through the file list in the selection you made and
  27. when you find the one you want hit (M)ark then the letter of
  28. the file you want. If you want more (C)ontinue and (M)ark the
  29. ones you want.  If you are finished select (N)o and then
  30. Return.

  32.      From the main menu select (D)ownload then (M)arked files
  33. and then the letters of the marked files.  Select the
  34. download protocol you wish to use. Select Autologoff or not.

  36.      When prompted with ready to send files set your software
  37. for the proper protocol (XMODEM should be acceptable).

  39.      If the files come with the extension of .zip you need to
  40. unzip the files using PKUNZIP. Then you can use the file or
  41. fist read the Read.Me that comes with file if applicable.

  44. PKUNZIP2.EXE (OS2) or PKZIP.EXE (DOS) is available on the same
  45. BBS and is needed for .zip files.

  47. If you cannot connect to the PCC BBS and suspect there is a problem,
  48. you can call the PCC BBS status line at (919) 517 0095.  This is a
  49. voice recording that is updated with the current status of the
  50. PCC BBS.
