  9.         DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  10.         During install on a Gateway 2000 486/66 with local bus and
  11.         ATI Graphics Ultra Pro the system gets as far as the screen
  12.         that shows the colorful OS/2 full screen symbol. The display
  13.         then shows 5 or 6 horizontal bands of video separated by
  14.         black bands. The bands scroll horizontally across the screen.

  16.         SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  17.  
  18.         Run the Setup program for the ATI card and set up the monitor
  19.         as an IBM default.
  20.  
  21.         DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  22.  
  23.         1.  Boot DOS.
  24.  
  25.         2.  Change directories to MACH32
  26.  
  27.         3.  Type INSTALL then press enter.
  28.  
  29.         4.  At the Main Selection screen select SET POWER UP
  30.             CONFIGURATION.
  31.  
  32.         5.  At the next screen select MONITOR TYPE.
  33.  
  34.         6.  The next screen should have the 1572 Monitor with 72Hz
  35.             refresh rate highlighted, press enter to select it.

  37.         7.  Select IBM default as the new Monitor.
  38.  
  39.         8.  After successful installation repeat steps to reselect
  40.             the 1572 Monitor.
