  1. TITLE: 950118 INSTALLED WARP AND LOST ACCESS TO (ATM) ADOBE TYPE
  2.               MANAGER 3.0 FOR WINDOWS.

  4. DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  5.     Installing WARP on a sysem with Adobe Type Manager 3.0 will
  6.     'backlevel' to ATM ver. 2.5. You will also loose access to any
  7.     imported fonts already on the system.

  9. SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  10.     Depending on how WARP  is installed (bootmanager or dualboot)
  11.         will determine how to modify the system.
  12.         1. Dualboot
  13.            Installation of WARP will replace the current ATM.INI in the
  14.            WINDOWS subdirectory.
  15.         2. Bootmanager
  16.            Installation of WARP may point to the x:\psfonts subdirectory
  17.            partition where it is installed and not to the path in the or
  18.            in the ATM.INI file.

  30. DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  31.     1. Dualboot

  33.            a. Prior to installation of WARP
  34.            Rename the current x:\windows\psfonts directory to
  35.            x:\windows\tpsfonts.
  36.            Rename or backup the current ATM.INI file.
  37.            Reinstall Adobe Type Manager 2.5, 2.6, or 3.
  38.            After installation, copy the contents of x:\windows\tpsfonts
  39.            x:\windows\tpsfonts\pfm to the x:\windows\psfonts and
  40.            x:\windows\psfonts\pfm directories

  42.            b. After installation of WARP
  43.            Rename the current x:\windows\psfonts directory to
  44.            x:\windows\tpsfonts.
  45.            Reinstall Adobe Type Manager 2.5, 2.6, or 3.0
  46.            After installation, you can add the fonts from the the ATM co
  47.            panel ADD feature choosing x:\windows\tpsfonts\pfm in the
  48.            directories window.

  52.            If Windows is on the same partition that WARP will be install
  53.            follow proceedure 1a above. If WARP is installed on a differe
  54.            partition, edit the ATM.INI file to mirror the appropriate li
  55.            in .SETUP. and  .SETTINGS. example above, and reinstall ATM
  56.            from disks.

  58.         Note: Applications that are migrated will need the WIN_ATM  in t
  59.         notebook set to on. It may also be necessary to reinstall specia
  60.         fonts not included with ATM.
