  32. |     PROBLEM:
  33. |        SYS3175 when running HGINST
  34. |     SOLUTION:
  35. |        REXX must be installed before running HGINST.
  36. |
  37. |        REXX can be installed when installing OS/2 2.0
  38. |        If OS/2 2.0 is already installed REXX can be
  39. |        installed by selecting the OS/2 System Icon.  From
  40. |        the OS/2 System Icon select the System Setup Icon.
  41. |        From the System Setup Icon select the Selective
  42. |        Install Icon.  Select REXX from the install menu
  43. |        the comes up and follow the installation
  44. |        instructions.

  47. |     PROBLEM:
  48. |        SYS3175 brings Communications Manager down
  49. |     SOLUTION:
  50. |        OS/2LINK APAR PN15796 must be installed.  This
  51. |        APAR will bring the OS/2LINK maintenance up to the
  52. |        level which is required for OS/2 2.0

  56. |        IKT00405I Message is issued when in CM 3270 emulator
  57. |        session to an application via VTAM, TSO, and GDDM
  58. |        Also: PROG759
  59. |     SOLUTION:

  64. |        SCREEN ERASURES, IKT00405I, INCORRECT SCREEN SIZES, etc
  65. |     SOLUTION:
  66. |        Check the VTAM LOGON MODE TABLES, esp. the PSERVIC valu
  67. |        Reference the Extended Services for OS/2
  68. |        Host Connection Reference, S04G100400, under
  69. |        "VTAM Logon Mode Tables".

  73. |       PROBLEM:
  74. |          There are many problems being reported running
  75. |          OS2LINK with OS/2 2.0 which are documented in
  76. |          OS2LINK apars PN19326 and PN15796.
  77. |          One problem being SYS3175 while starting CM.

  80. |       SOLUTION:
  81. |          Contact the OS2LINK support group and obtain the
  82. |          latest maintenance addressing the above apars.

  85. |       PROBLEM:
  86. |         HANG conditions using Host graphic applications
  87. |          in 3270 emulation. (See apar JR06243)

  89. |       SOLUTION:
  90. |          Apply the latest ES maintenance that includes
  91. |          JR06243 (ACS3LAP.DLL).

  98. |  1. Obtain a CM trace of the DLC to the host (IBMTRNET,
  99. |     DFT, etc.) and the files noted in INFO APAR II0xxxxx,
  100. |     EXCEPT set the TRACE RECORD LENGTH TO 0.

  102. |  2. Obtain a VTAM BUFFER trace of the LU.

  104. |  Note: The traces requested in 1 and 2 above must be taken
  105. |        at the same time for the same occurrence of the problem
  106. |

  108. |        send problem documentation to the IBM SUPPORT CENTER.
