Dragen FTP Beta Announcement

A new Dragen FTP Beta has been posted to the web page.
If you wish to continue with beta testing process, please
ensure that you are still registered on the Discussion
Board by attempting to post a message on the Board. If
you are no longer registered please register and
provide your feedback on the discussion board.

List of changes in Beta 3

- Fixed security hole with drag and drop objects from the desktop
- Added process list kill to process menu - note this function is not intended
to replace the kill delay function. It is for killing uploads and downloads.
- Eliminated polling during idle - reduced cpu usage
- Added autoscroll to message log window so that you can see long messages
- Added ctrl P toggle to open and close process list
- Added ctrl L toggle to open and close message log drop down list box
- Added Zombie kill for run away threads. This was a debugging tool that I decided to keep.
- Added command line start up - create program objects that to start dragen with double click
to a specific host. See readme for details
- Replaced the ! directory separator for the more standard /
- Eliminated the problem with dragen not recognizing files with a single quote in the filename
- Fixed a problem with makedirectory
- Fixed VMS delete
- Fixed MVS viewing in a PDS
- Added Get to local window ctrl W
- Added Get to specific path ctrl S
- Added Get to default path ctrl G
- Added confirm on delete
- Added directory/file cleanup when a host is deleted

*********** IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY *****************

Dragen Beta 3 uses different desktop drag and drop objects. Be sure to
delete your desktop drag and drop objects before installing beta 3.

If you are upgrading FROM Beta v2.e through 2.g TO Beta 3 and want to keep your
hosts and setup defaults. You must copy your host.txt and dpath files to a temporary directory.
After unzipping Beta 3, copy the host.txt and dpath files back to your dragen directory and
run hcnvert2.cmd (PLEASE NOTE THE 2). You MUST run hcnvert2.cmd to prepare your host.txt
file for use with beta 3. It is not necessary to run setup.

If you are upgrading to Beta 3 from 2.d and want to keep your hosts. You must
copy your host.txt file to a temporary directory. After installing
Beta 3, copy the host.txt file back to you dragen directory and
run hcnvert.cmd. You MUST run hcnvert.cmd to prepare your host.txt
file for use with beta 3. You must run setup to complete the installation.

If you are upgrading from Beta v2.h, no changes are necessary to the host.txt or dpath files.
If you want to preserve you current hosts and setup defaults, copy host.txt and dpath to a
temporary holding place and then copy them back to your Dragen directory after you have
unzipped Dragen to its directory. It is not necessary to run setup.

fresh DPATH. Select proxy checkbox before logging onto a site
when behind a firewall. This feature needs testing, as I am
not behind a firewall and cannot test myself.
