  13. The mach64 device drivers supplied here are for OS/2 2.11 and OS/2 
  14. WARP.
  15.

  20. DO NOT TASK SWITCH WHILE RUNNING THE INSTALL PROGRAM.
  21.  
  22. 1. Ensure that you have a copy LOAD64.ZIP.  It is available on the ATI 
  23. BBS, ftp site (ftp.atitech.ca), and on our CompuServe forum (GO 
  24. ATITECH).
  25.  
  26. 2. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE 2.04G.  PKUNZIP is 
  27. available on most BBS and information services, including the ATI BBS 
  28. and CompuServe.
  29.  
  30. 3. Open a full screen DOS session.
  31.  
  32. 4. Unzip LOAD64.ZIP and 64OS2222.ZIP into the same temporary directory 
  33. on your hard disk, then run the LOAD64 utility.  For example:
  34.  
  35. MD \ATITEMP
  36. PKUNZIP LOAD64.ZIP \ATITEMP
  37. PKUNZIP 64OS2222.ZIP \ATITEMP
  38. CD \ATITEMP
  39. LOAD64
  40.  
  41. 5. Follow the screen prompts for installing the OS/2 driver.  
  42.  
  43. 6. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of 
  44. the temporary directory (DEL \ATITEMP\*.*) and delete the directory 
  45. itself (RD \ATITEMP).  
  46.  
  47. 7. We recommend that you keep a copy of the ZIP files (64OS2222.ZIP 
  48. and LOAD64.ZIP), in case you need to install the driver again.      
  49.  
  50. 8. Run DSPINSTL from within an OS/2 window.
  51.  
  52. 9. When the Display Driver Install panel appears, select Primary 
  53. Display and click OK to bring up a list of choices.  You should see an 
  54. option for ATI mach64.
  55.  
  56. 10. Select 'ATI mach64 (Enhanced 2.2x)' from the list and click OK. If 
  57. a error message pops-up, which says "The installed adapter does not 
  58. support the selected display driver.  Do you wish to continue?" ignore 
  59. it and click OK.
  60.  
  61. 11. When the source directory panel appears, select 'Change' and 
  62. enter:
  63. C:\MACH_OS2 (if you don't use c: as you boot drive replace it with the 
  64. appropriate drive letter) Click 'Set' and then 'Install'. After the 
  65. files are copied, exit the OS/2 window or full screen session. Shut 
  66. down and restart your system.

  68. 12. The PM driver will first come up in 640x480, 256 colors mode.  Use 
  69. the following steps to change the screen resolutions or number of 
  70. colors:
  71.  
  72.    a) Open 'OS/2 System' icon.
  73.    b) Open 'System Setup' icon.
  74.    c) Open 'System' icon.
  75.    b) Select the 'Screen' tab.
  76.    e) Select the desired resolution and number of colors from the 
  77. list.
  78.    f) Double click on the system menu icon or select close from the 
  79.     system menu to close the window.
  80.    g) Shut down and restart your system.
