  16.         This Stardock Systems "FixKit" is intended to be installed over
  17.         Object Desktop installation that is currently at version
  18.         1.5.1.  To check which version of Object Desktop is
  19.         currently installed, choose the "Help", "About Object
  20.         Desktop" menu choices from the Desktop menu.

  23.     Installation:
  24.     -------------

  26.         To install the FixKit, run the program FIXKIT_2.EXE from the
  27.         directory you unpacked the distribution archive to.  The file
  28.         is self-contained, and will extract the software patches
  29.         relevant to recreate the proper version of software.
  30.  
  31.         A backup copy of the files this FixKit changes will be created
  32.         in a directory underneath the installation directory for Object
  33.         Desktop.  To restore the previous version of files for any
  34.         reason, you must boot to another partition (from floppy) or use
  35.         OS/2 Warp Alt+F1 processing to boot to a command line, and then
  36.         copy the files from the backup directory manually.

  41.         You may install this FixKit over version 1.5.1 of Object
  42.         Desktop, or over version 1.5.0 with the appropriate fixkits
  43.         applied to arrive at this version (eg. FixKit #1 for version
  44.         1.5.1, FixKit #1 plus FixKit #2 for version 1.5.2, etc.).

  46.         You may NOT install this FixKit over version 1.0 of Object
  47.         Desktop.  The FixKit installation software will fail to apply
  48.         when the installed file revisions are checked.
  49.  
  50.         Object Desktop Professional users should seek a FixKit created
  51.         specifically for that version.  This FixKit will not apply on an
  52.         Object Desktop Professional installation.
  53.  
  54.         This FixKit is specific to the English language version of
  55.         Object Desktop.  Users of Object Desktop for other languages
  56.         should apply the version for that language.
