  2. BenchTech for OS/2 version 1.02 patch
  3.

  6. This patch contains one fix for BenchTech for OS/2 version 1.00, 
  7. (or 1.01) and is only for registered users. This patch does not 
  8. stand alone; you need the rest of the package to use BenchTech.

  12. Version 1.02 addresses a problem that 1.01 had where, on occasion,
  13. exiting BenchTech caused OS/2 2.01 or 2.1 beta to hang. It does not
  14. appear to affect OS/2 2.00.

  16. Version 1.01 addresses a problem the earlier version had with 
  17. network configurations. BenchTech fails to load properly
  18. when certain network requestors, like the Novell OS/2 requestor,
  19. were running.

  22. Installation instructions:

  24. Open an OS/2 Window.
  25.  
  26. Change directory to the directory where you installed BenchTech,
  27. i.e. "cd c:\bnchtech"
  28.  
  29. Copy the version 1.00 executable to a backup (you should do a 
  30. copy as opposed to a ren or move, so that the program object (icon)
  31. will stay with the original, and you won't have to create a new
  32. program object)
  33. i.e. "copy bnchtech.exe bnchtech.bak"
  34.  
  35. Copy the new executable over the old one.
  36. i.e. copy a:\bnchtech.exe c:\bnchtech\bnchtech.exe
  37. if it is located on drive a:, or 
  38. i.e. copy c:\tapcis\download\bnchtech.exe c:\bnchtech\bnchtech.exe
  39. if it is located in a directory like c:\tapcis\download
