  9. Thank you for downloading the Free Updated version of BackMaster 3.01D
  10. for OS/2. We have provided this README.1ST instructions file to help guild
  11. you to quickly apply this update.

  13. BackMaster 3.01D Update Information.
  14. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  15. The included patch update contains updated BackMaster 3.0 program files
  16. that will upgrade any revision of BackMaster 3.x to the current revision of
  17. BackMaster 3.01D, these files will not update or work with any previous
  18. version of BackMaster 1.0, 1.1, 1.1A, 2.0, 2.01, 2.02.

  20. Applying BackMaster 3.01d Update Patch.
  21. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  22. Applying this update patch has been made as automatic as possible with the
  23. included patch program.  Sophisticated safety features ensure proper building
  24. and applying of patch files.
  25.  
  26. The included patch program will automatically Backup any affected files that
  27. are modified during the patch update procedure.
  28.  
  29. To Apply this update patch follow the simple steps listed below.
  30.  
  31. 1.) Expand the BackMaster 3.01d Update Archive File into your current
  32.      BackMaster directory. The patch procedure will automatically Backup any
  33.      affected files that are modified during the patch update procedure, creating
  34.      a sub-directory named "Backup" to store the affected files.  The patch
  35.      procedure will automatically create a restore batch file in the "Backup"
  36.      directory to assist you in restoring in the event of a failed patch procedure.

  38. 2.) Execute the included file UPDATE.EXE
  39.  
  40. 3.) Execute the extracted file PATCH.EXE
  41.  
  42. 4.) REBOOT your computer system.
