  1. This directory contains the FixPaks for VisualAge C++ for OS/2, Version 3.0.

  3. The FixPaks are broken down into a number of different subcomponents to
  4. help simplify the FixPak distribution.  Within each subcomponent, the FixPaks
  5. are cumulative, so you only need to apply the latest one for each
  6. subcomponent.
  7.  
  8. The FixPaks use the following name convention:
  9.  
  10.   - The first two characters are alway CT.
  11.   - The next character indicates the subcomponent:
  12.         C - Compiler     (i.e. C/C++ compilers, ILINK, ILIB)
  13.         D - Documentation
  14.         O - Open Class Libraries
  15.         S - Open Class source code (a separate product)
  16.         U - Utilities    (i.e. debugger, browser, performance analyzer)
  17.         V - Visual Tools (i.e. Visual Builder, Data Access Builder)
  18.         W - WorkFrame
  19.   - The next two characters are the version number of the product.
  20.   - The last character is the level of the FixPak.

  22. So, CTC301 is the first compiler FixPak for VisualAge C++ Version 3.
  23. CTC302 is the second compiler FixPak. CTV301 is the first visual tools FixPak.

  25. Each FixPak is in a separate subdirectory.  See the readme.txt file in each
  26. subdirectory for details on what you need to do to apply the FixPak.

  28. Order of applying FixPaks:

  30.   2. CTC306
  31.   3. CTO306
  32.   4. CTW303
  33.   5. reboot
  34.   6. CTV305
  35.   7. CTD302
  36.   8. CTU304
  37.   9. reboot
  38.  10. If you have the OpenClass source code, apply CTS306 at any time.
