that may be provided by IBM or other vendors on separate diskettes.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Configure ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Select Configure to configure MPTS. Configuration is provided using the LAPS
configuration function, migrating a OS/2 Extended Edition 1.3 .CFG file, Socket
TCP/IP access, and non-native networking.
LAPS configuration component combines protocol and Media Access Control (MAC)
drivers support in order to create a working MPTS system. The particular
combination you need depends on the application programs you use that use MPTS.
Refer to the MPTS Configuration Guide for configuration guidelines.

Select Remove to remove the entire MPTS product from your system.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Exit ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Select Exit to exit the MPTS program and return to OS/2. If you have chosen
Install or Remove prior to exiting, MPTS may ask you to reboot your system in
order for your changes to take effect.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Exiting MPTS ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
A system restart is required in order to complete the next phase of the
installation/removal that was performed during this invocation of MPTS. MPTS
either could not replace all the necessary files during an installation or
could not remove all the files during a removal because they were currently in
use. These in-use files are termed "locked files". In order for the MPTS
installation/removal to complete, the locked files must be unlocked. Unlock
files by shutting the system down.
Exit the MPTS program by selecting Exit, and shut down the system from the OS/2
Desktop.
Note: If this is a multiboot system with OS/2 Boot Manager installed, the
CURRENTLY BOOTED drive must be rebooted before MPTS is reinvoked. Otherwise,
locked files are not replaced/removed and system integrity is not guaranteed.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Target Drive ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use this window to provide the drive where MPTS should install. MPTS creates
subdirectories off the root of this drive and places its product files in the
subdirectories.

installation request.
Help Displays information for the window or for a selected field.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Target drive ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
In the target drive field, enter the drive location where the MPTS product is
to be installed. The target must be a valid OS/2 drive.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. Locked Files ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
A system restart is required in order for the previous installation
requirements to be completed.
The previous installation of the MPTS program could not replace all the files
because they were currently in use. These in-use files are termed "locked
files". In order for the MPTS installation to complete, the locked files must
be unlocked. Unlock files by shutting the system down.
Exit this window and shut down the system from the OS/2 Desktop. The MPTS
program should be able to be re-initiated when the system is restart.
Note: If this is a multiboot system with OS/2 Boot Manager installed, the
CURRENTLY BOOTED drive must be rebooted before MPTS is reinvoked. Otherwise,
locked files are not replaced and system integrity is not guaranteed.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 8. Install Additional Network Drivers ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
