  5. The KASE:C++ product is the object-oriented member of KASE Systems' visual 
  6. design and code-generation family of tools for the OS/2 Presentation Manager 
  7. platform.  It generates C++ source code and is the only tool on the market 
  8. today that fully supports IBM's User Interface Class Library.  All 
  9. functionality is identical to KASE:VIP for OS/2, except does not include the 
  10. SQL Designer or the CICS OS/2 ECI Designer.

  16. KASE:VIP for OS/2 is a knowledge-assisted visual design and code-generation 
  17. tool for building Graphical User Interface (GUI) and client/server 
  18. applications.  Developers use the visual designers to create OS/2 objects, and 
  19. then associate them with business logic and data.  In a client/server 
  20. environment, this produces a seamless "front-to-back" integration with SQL 
  21. databases (IBM's Database Manager and DB2/2) or CICS transactions (using the 
  22. optional OS/2 CICS External Call Interface Designer).  KASE:VIP will then 
  23. generate all the application source code in C, using KASE Systems' patented 
  24. Knowledge-Assisted Software Engineering technology.  Applications built with 
  25. KASE Systems' tools are free of proprietary languages and run-times found in 
  26. many other client/server development tools.

  32. KASE:VIP for Windows is a visual design and code generation tool for building 
  33. Windows-based GUI and client/server applications in standard languages.  The 
  34. product provides visual designers to create Windows interfaces with integration 
  35. to business logic and data.  Developers can easily build client/server 
  36. applications with complete "front-to-back" links between SQL databases (Sybase, 
  37. Gupta SQLBase, Oracle, ODBC, or Microsoft SQL Server) and graphical interfaces 
  38. - without the need for user-added code.  KASE:VIP for Windows will then 
  39. generate all the application source code in either C (using the Windows API) or 
  40. C++ (using Microsoft Foundation Classes).
