PC Server 500 System/390 (P/390)
--------------------------------
Fix package level 2.00.3 2/14/96 John A. Hupcey
(800) 633-7437 or (914) 435-5222
hupcey@vnet.ibm.com
This package consists of three files that you have just UNZIPed:
READ2003.ME These instructions
P390FIX.CMD The P/390 Fix install/removal program
P3902003.FIX The P/390 fixes at level 2.00.3
1) This fix package can be installed on P/390 Program level 2.00.1 (the
first "General Availability" level that was shipped with the PC Server
500 S/390) or level 2.00.2 (the first P/390 fix pack). Fix pack 2.00.3
is cumulative, i.e., it includes everything that was in the previous fix
pack, so you do not need to install both, only the latest one.
If you run the OS/2 SYSLEVEL command, it will (eventually) display the
level of P/390 Programs that are installed. Look for the one that says
d:\P390\SYSLEVEL.AWS.
2) Make sure the three files in this package are in the same place, e.g. D:\
3) Make sure you have stopped:
- Communications Manager (use CMSTOP)
- P/390 I/O subsystem (use End P/390 icon)
- All other P/390 programs (close the windows)
4) Run the Fix install program:
P390FIX
You will be prompted for the drive (d:) where the \P390 subdirectory
is located. The default is whatever is in CONFIG.SYS SET PATH statement.
Note: If you are a Personal/370 customer (and have a d:\P370 subdirectory)
then type: P390FIX P370
5) Shutdown and reboot OS/2 for changes to take effect.
6) Be sure to test this fix pack thoroughly with your applications before
putting the fix pack into production!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you wish to REMOVE this level of service, then run the program
d:\P390\REGRESS
