APAR IC08187 for AnyNet/2 V2.0 SNA over IP
------------------------------------------
Problem description
-------------------
With AnyNet/2 V2.0 (SNA over IP implementation), there are
two ways to modify the LU preference table. The first method
is via a command line interface using the lulist.exe tool. The
second is via a graphical user interface using the luptm.exe tool.
There are currently two minor problems with the LU preference
table implementation:
1. The LU preference table (lutab.lst) is not initialized unless
lutpm.exe is run first (as opposed to lulist.exe being run first).
2. luptm.exe will not function properly if the length of the
network-qualified LU name (netid.luname) plus the length
of the flag value (NATIVE, NON-NATIVE, NATIVE_ONLY, NON-NATIVE_ONLY)
exceeds 35 characters. Basically, the lutpm.exe tool will
not display any other LU preference table entries after displaying
the entry which exceeds 35 characters.
Fix installation
----------------
0. Use PKUNZIP to unzip IC08187.ZIP in a temporary subdirectory. You
will now have the new LUTAB.DLL and LUTPM.EXE in this subdirectory.
1. Stop any applications using AnyNet/2 SNA over IP.
2. Stop CM/2 and FFST/2.
3. Copy LUTAB.DLL and LUTPM.EXE over the existing copies
on your machine. Don't forget to back up your original
copies of these files before installing this fix.
LUTAB.DLL is usually located in the \cmlib\dll\ sub-directory.
LUTPM.EXE is usually located in the \cmlib\ sub-directory.
4. Restart CM/2.
